Nonlocal Phenomena from Noncommutative Pre-Planckian Regime

چکیده

A model unifying general relativity with quantum mechanics is further developed. It is based on a noncommutative geometry which supposedly modelled the universe in its pre-Planckian epoch. The geometry is totally nonlocal with no time and no space in their usual meaning. They emerge only in the transition process from the noncommutative epoch to the standard space-time physics. Observational aspects of this model are discussed. It is shown that various nonlocal phenomena can be explained as remnants of the primordial noncommutative epoch. In particular, we explain the Einstein-PodolskyRosen experiment, the horizon problem in cosmology, and the appearance of singularities in general relativity. ∗Correspondence address: ul. We obtain a generalized Schwarzschild (GS-) and a generalized Reissner-Nordstrom (GRN-) black hole geometries in (3 + 1)-dimensions, in a noncommutative string theory. In particular, we consider an effective theory of gravity on a curved D3-brane in presence of an electromagnetic (EM-) field. Two different length scales, inherent in its noncommutative counter-part, are exploited to obtain a the...

Noncommutative Model with Spontaneous Time Generation and Planckian Bound

We illustrate the thesis that if time did not exist, we would have to create it if space is noncommutative, and extend functions by something like Schroedinger’s equation. We propose that the phenomenon is a somewhat general mechanism within noncommutative geometry for ‘sponteneous time generation’. We show in detail how this works for the su2 algebra [xi, xj ] = 2ıλǫijxk as noncommutative spac...

Perfect imaging, epsilon-near zero phenomena and waveguiding in the scope of nonlocal effects

Plasmons in metals can oscillate on a sub-wavelength length scale and this large-k response constitutes an inherent prerequisite for fascinating effects such as perfect imaging and intriguing wave phenomena associated with the epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) regime. While there is no upper cut-off within the local-response approximation (LRA) of the plasma polarization, nonlocal dynamics suppress respo...

Generalized κ-Deformations and Deformed Relativistic Scalar Fields on Noncommutative Minkowski Space

We describe the generalized κ-deformations ofD = 4 relativistic symmetries with finite masslike deformation parameter κ and an arbitrary direction in κ-deformed Minkowski space being noncommutative. The corresponding bicovariant differential calculi on κdeformed Minkowski spaces are considered. Two distinguished cases are discussed: 5D noncommutative differential calculus (κ-deformation in time...

The Noncommutative S-Matrix

As a simple example of how recently developed on-shell techniques apply to nonlocal theories, we study the S-matrix of noncommutative gauge theories. In the complex plane, this S-matrix has essential singularities that signal the nonlocal behavior of the theory. In spite of this, we show that tree-level amplitudes may be obtained by BCFW type recursion relations. At one loop we find a complete ...
